ESSENTIAL LEARNING RESOURCES

We have selected below essential learning resources for all students. As detailed in our course, it is how you interact with them which makes the difference. As a language learner, it is important that you use these as a base but also research further. The tools represent only a practical starting point.
As for any skill growth in real life, progress relies on regular practice. In the context of languages, it means engaging with real people and selecting resources to improve your communication.

The balance and order between these three foundation activities is critical to your success.

PRACTICING IN REAL LIFE

Practicing in real life

Whatever your level, engaging in your target language is key. Only by practicing will your language skills become strong and long lasting. The same is true for the connections that allow you to develop and improve all your communication abilities.

My language exchange

Who can help you in your own circle or network? If you feel limited, we recommend that you browse this network or choose one that is similar and take action. Remember, not taking action leads to no real learning! Please do it one little step at a time, nearly daily.

Toastmasters

The organization we recommend here is suitable for advanced students only. English is the main language practiced here but they also run meetings in other languages. You can either join in and watch or, better yet, participate. On the other hand, you can look for a local, face to face group that more closely suits your specific speaking requirements or interests. Even better, you can set one up.
